More About Verris

Verris has been a practicing attorney for over fourteen years in Yonkers City Court. She started her career as a young attorney passionate about protecting the rights of the Yonkers residents she represented in Yonkers City Court.  She has litigated hundreds of felonies, misdemeanors and violation cases. Verris also has ten years of family court experience protecting the rights of parents, grandparents and children.

After almost fifteen years after beginning her legal career in Yonkers City Court, she is still devoted and committed to the residents of Yonkers. Verris seeks to ascend to the bench to ensure that all litigants that come before her are treated with dignity, fairness and are given a chance to be heard.

Verris is equally devoted and committed to her family as a wife and mother of two young children. She believes that parents are a child’s most important teachers and supports her children’s public school education. She has volunteered as a Class Parent (Class Mom) and also serves on a Yonkers PTA Executive Board.  Both of her children attend Yonkers Schools.

As a proud Yonkers Girl Scouts Troop Co-Leader, Verris has provided community support to kindergarten and first grade girls in our community. She has fostered positive relationships among her troop and has encouraged young girls to be independent, brave and strong leaders.

Verris, her husband and children are strong supporters (and frequent users) of the Yonkers Public Library and the Yonkers Department of Recreation programs. She encourages all Yonkers residents to utilize both institutions as they provide invaluable programs and services to all Yonkers residents.

Verris looks forward to continuing to serve the Yonkers community personally and professionally. Please support her campaign to become the next Yonkers City Court Judge by donating to the campaign, by volunteering (you can help from the comfort of your home) and telling your friends and family about her. Together we can get Verris elected the next Yonkers City Court Judge!

Thank you for supporting her campaign to be elected the next Yonkers City Court Judge.
